There are far worse games out there.....FAR worse. If you've never been subjected to Rise of the Robots or Time Killers then God must really love you
And even though it wasn't a bad game, Red Dead Revolver has an awesome title

LOL
I remember that game. I was 10 years old when it came out and I remember sitting in my room, staring at the ad, and wondering how in the hell this could have been based on a true story. I wracked my brain for months, before I finally dawned on me that they were just full of s***

Oh, I don't doubt the game was inspired by a true story. After all, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was, "Based on a true story," as well. That phrase can be pretty misleading.

I'm sorry, but the best of that bunch name-wise is Bastard Online.
I laughed at that for about 10 minutes before I could get it together to post this. Bastard by itself is kinda funny, but the fact that you can play Bastard with other bastards from all over the globe is great.
As for other games that either were bad with great names or great with bad names, here are a few
Great game, bad name
-Metroid: When I was a kid, my cousin gave me all his NES games because he was going to the army or something. I was pumped. I played excitebike, The Ultimate Stuntman(most underrated game ever), Ninja Gaiden, et. al.
But I didn't play Metroid until I had already had it for months. Why? Because the other games were named things like excitebike, when I was 6 I was like, "what the hell is a metroid?" It only sounds cool now because we know what it is.
-Jumping Flash: Not only did this game have a dumb name, but also a dumb premise, it was a first person shooter where gamers played as a mechanical rabbit in a fantasy land of some kind. But lemme tell you somethin' brothers and sisters, this game was AWESOME, with a capital A.
-Tekken: one of my all time favorite games, I still play tekken 5 everyday. I only have one question, why oh why would you release a game in America and call it Tekken, when it's name translates into King of The Iron Fist????
Great name, Bad Game
-Revolution X: Ok so imagine you're me. You're eleven years old and you walk into an arcade in 1994, you see a game called Revolution X, it's got machine guns attached to it instead of buttons and joysticks, you're pumped to play it. Wait, what's that I hear in the background? Aerosmith? Wow, that's neat, someone must have paid big bucks to get an Aerosmith song or two.
Wait wait, did I just rescue Joe Perry? This game is ABOUT Aerosmith? WTF? And they didn't even get to use THAT many Aerosmith songs, it was like the same three looped over and over and over.
And while I'm here(this is totally off topic) How badass was Gunstar Heroes for Sega Genesis? Don't know why that was on my mind, but it was.

I read something on Yogurting before...an' I don't get it.
It's an MMO where the idea is that you GO BACK TO HIGHSCHOOL! Yeah, it's an anime-ized school but, um, wth?!?! Supposed to be a big hit too.

I guess God really hates me. I've beaten both games....... I'm not going to say that they are fun though. I almost killed my older brother for forcing me to play those s**tty games.
Also, Gunstar Heroes is the best game title ever. So is Gunstar Superheroes.

I've played that game too! My whole family was laughing for hours because of that ad when we bought that (the Funcoland employee had shown it to us).

Shellshock '67.
The title promised so much - and the game had a mature warning label for violence, sexual references/scenes and drug use.
Yet it was the worst game I've ever played, and the quickest game I've ever finished.

Killzone. With a title like that I expected the game to kick ass. I found it to be a very diappointing FPS with long reload times and crappy sniper controls. The story wasn't that great either
Other Great titles, bad games include:
Beatdown: Fist of Vengeance
Nightshade
Thrill Kill
Dynasty Warriors
Bloody Roar

You guys really have no idea how nice it is to hear that other people besides me remember Jumping Flash, this game kicked any ass it saw.
I remember when I first got a playstation, it came with a demo disk called Playstation Picks. Some of the games on the demo disk were actually playable demos, some were just videos, and I played Jumping Flash because it was one of the only actually playable demos and I didn't have any games yet.
When it first came on my screen I was like, "ok, at least my little cousin will have something to play when he comes over"
Five hours later I finally stopped playing the Jumping Flash demo and went to bed. I went and bought the actual game the very next day.
Who remembers that one kickass roman candle weapon? See, now I wanna find a copy and play it.

I could put Morrowind here. A name like Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind implies epic fantasy, but the game plays like crap from the start. At the beginning, you start walking, and your fatigue meter runs out in 20 seconds, reducing movement to a crawl. While on the road, i'd flip through channels, seeing what else was on, occasionly fiipping back to see my progress, which was next to nothing. And don't get me started on the fighting engine.

I love how it says "Warning: Some scenes may be to intense for those who do not seek vengeance." at the bottom. :D
