This giveaway comic is known for a twist where Spider-man, almost broke, gives Bruce Banner his last five dollars to help him get off his feet, recalling a time when a stranger did the same thing for him. Time passes and Banner gives a homeless man five dollars - the same "stranger" that gave $5 to Spidey.

The one name credited here is a cover by John Romita Sr., but no credit is given to the writer or artist. I remember somewhere that maybe Jim Shooter wrote it, but I don't know for sure... Who did it?

To me it sounds like the end of a story in the Spider-Man comic strip that guest-featured the Hulk. Maybe Stan lifted the idea from another Spidey/Hulk story. Or maybe he wrote the original story and reused it.

This was a real story, originally published in Japan, or some such. Reprinted and translated it lost some of its meaning. The part where Spidey gives Banner 5$ was originally accompanied by the text "If you can only get one prostitute with that 5$, I go first." Other than that....
