I posted this a while back in the Classic Comics forum but I thought I'd post here as well. I was wondering if there were any old comic runs people were finishing off.

For me, I'm 3 issues away from a New Teen Titans run of 1-60. I'm also working on The Question and Suicide Squad runs.

None, unless they come in TPB.

I'm working on a lot of Bronze Age stuff. Contrary to many people's opinions, I do not want the Silver Age back.. I grew up in the Bronze Age.. give me an Icee from 7-11 and an issue of 70's Batman and I'm good to go. :)

Wonder Woman series 1.. missing a lot of issues but I'm working on a 200-final issue run.

Green Lantern series 2.. From 1 to 89 the end of the original run.. they picked up the numbering some years later. I only lack 10 issues now from having them all. Then I'll see who I can mug to afford the 3 Showcase appearances.

DC Who's Who.. only need 5 of em.

I love collecting Bronze age stuff. To me thats anything up to and including the original COIE.

I'd like to start getting.. Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, DC Presents, JLI/JLE/JLA, and build up my Brave and the Bold collection.

I'm continuing my lifelong quest to collect as many of the original Wonder Woman series as I can.
I'm glad that I started a long time ago since a lot of the issues that I've managed to get have become pretty expensive.

With my desire to read a coherent Black Panther story I'm going back and collecting all of Priest's run.

I've been working on Miracleman. I have all of Gaimen's issues, and most of Moore's. i'm only really looking for 13,14,15 at something resembling reasonable prices. I don't want to read Gaimen's issues until i finish the Moore ones so it's kind of aggrevating.

Other than that I'm trying to build a complete run of the Incredible Hulk Vol. 2. It's nearly a 400 issue run and i'd say i'm close to halfway done, with the bulk of my issues being in the 200-400 range. I actually just found a new store northwest of Boston that has a great selection of the 100's reasonable priced.

While not really old, I recently discovered and liked the Hourman series that Peyer and Rags Morales (his arts improved leaps and bounds since then) did a while back. I have about half of the 25 issues.

Me too, actually. Small world. Good to see there are more people seeking it out.

Once summer starts I plan to persue back issues of Powerman & Iron fist as well as lockin up more LSH fun from the 60's thru today lol.

My "Back Issue Hunt " thread at the community board is where I place my finds.

The biggest find for me was when I landed the Brave & the Bold #200 and the " Batman & the Outsiders " issues 1 & 2 in great condition !

I'm buying Grimjack in trade and am debating whether or not to get all the Suicide Squad single issues or wait for a Showcase type volume.

None, unless they come in TPB.
Ditto!

I'm actually collect a lot of old series, but all of them in the form of Essentials, or Showcase Presents, or some other reprint collection.

I got almost an entire run of Marvel's Star Wars comic for about 40 cents an issue recently. Huzzah, reading material for a good while :)

Batman since #500 (the first DC comic I bought at age 6). I have almost every iss from #500 to #649 (latest iss) but have a few gaps around the No Man's Land era.

I want to own the whole latest Daredevil series (Marvel Knights). I have most of the 81 issues with a seven or eight issue gap that I will fill soon.

I also have every issue of Superman/Batman, granted its only seen 23 issues released but I am missing a few of the variant covers. I only need the RRP edition of #1 and the Darkseid cover of #13 to complete the series.

I'm replacing a lot of comics that I don't have anymore, as well as filling in some stuff I never owned: At the moment, it's Captain Carrot, Inferior Five, Pre-Zero Hour Legion.

I have almost every issue of Batman from #399 to #649 with just a few issue gaps around the early 400 issues. But I've got a run nearly complete there.

Uncanny X-Men I have nearly every issue back #224 with just a few issue gaps in there . I plan to start looking for Uncanny issues again this spring/summer as usual.

I just finished putting together a "Stars and STRIPE" run at the beginning of the month. I'm semi-collecting "The Ray", but my LCS doesn't have many backissues of anything (though I could probably get the entire run of Robin for about forty bucks in their $.50 bins).

I'm looking for more issues of Brave and the Bold, Green Lantern, and Hawkman (silver age issues for all).

Not old stuff, per sey, but I'm reading Gotham Central 1-40, I read 1 when it came out, and I've recently got the rest. I've made it to 27. Also, my wife had me read her X-Files comics since I loved the show. I've read almost all of the series, and I've got a couple of minis left to read.

It's actually a really good series, and you can see Morales' art improve throughout the book. I forget where i picked up on in originally, i think Newsarama had an article on it. But its really good, and the McDaniel covers are great.

Mostly I've been trying to collect a lot of the stuff I missed out the first time around when I started seriously collecting in the mid-90s. None of it is particularly old though. I picked up the entire run of Christopher Priest's Quantum and Woody, now I'm looking to complete the Hitman series, Starman, Young Heroes in Love, etc.

I'm hoping that DC puts Who's Who in a Showcase Presents like Marvel just did with their Marvel Handbook. Showcase has been great to me... I think next I'm going to start picking up Jonah Hex because I never knew how cool it was until I read the Showcase collection he featured in.. those stories really hold up. Metamorpho on the other hand.. ouch.
