1)Is this show ever coming back to Cartoon Network???

2)Does Kurama(sp) seem like he's gay to anyone else but me? Or is he just SUPER bishonen(especially in that dreamy Yoko Kurama form...*sigh*...those sexy fox ears and tail... ;) )It seemed like he and that guy with the mask in that demon world tournament were kinda-sorta flirting...or was that just me?

RE: 1)Is this show ever coming back to Cartoon Network???

ooohhh....you're not going to like my response. Sorry man, but its already BEEN back for several months now. Like Gundam Seed, Cyborg 009, and .hack//Dusk before it, it now airs at 5:30 AM in the morning on Friday (Technically early Saturday). In other words, if you read this post today (friday), you need to set your VCR for 5:30 AM for this coming morning. They've already finished the Sensui saga, and are already halfway through the 3 kings saga. In a few more weeks they will be at the Makai Tournament. So...you've kinda missed a good 10-15 episodes.

To me he just seems super Bishounen. Its typical to include a Bishounen character in a Shounen series just to capture a small following of female vieweres (just like its typical to include hot chicks in a Shoujo show in order to capture a small following of male viewers). Just because someone is a bishounen doesn't necessarily mean that he is gay, but if they are gay then there will usually be other ways of telling besides how they look. A lot of them, like Nuriko from Fushigi Yugi, will straight up admit their sexual orientation. Kurama hasn't given me any major indication of being gay; in fact, he hasn't really given any indication of any sort of sexual desire or preference whatsoever.

If the mask guy you're talking about is Karyu, then it was mostly Karyu who was flirting with Kurama, and he was flirting with him because he's a homicidal maniac.

Robotech Master already answered question 1, as for 2:

Nope. Kurama is not gay. The writer of the series himself states this in an interview. It turns out that there was alot of art for the anime (posters, stickers and such, etc.) that had Kurama and Hiei looking all buddy-buddy if not literally hanging off of each other. This was the bright idea of some hotshot anime exec who thought they might score more female fans if they sort of implied a yaoi relationship between the two (looking at the sheer number of yaoi fangirls who write YYH fics, the bastard may have been on to something).

As for the Dark Tournament, that was Karasu who was vaguely hitting on Kurama, not the other way around. Karasu is a nut job like Vega from Street Fighter ie. He likes pretty things, and he likes to destroy pretty things that may be more beautiful than himself. Kurama, being the epitome of bishonen on YYH, made for an obvious target for the bomb-spewing freak.

WTF???? Why the hell didn't CN tell anyone about this??? Man, that f'in sucks.

I personally think that Kurama and Karasu would make a really hot couple...I've got the vague semblance of a fan-fic lurking in the back of my mind... :p

RE: WTF???? Why the hell didn't CN tell anyone about this??? Man, that f'in sucks.

*Shrugs*, I don't recall how much of a warning CN gave to anyone. The reason that I knew to watch for it was because I occasionally frequent Toonzone.net, and one of their newsbreaks was as announcement that Yu Yu Hakusho would be returning to CN at the 5:30 Am timeslot. CN cited the reason for the ungodly hour as being that Yu Yu Hakusho got poor ratings during the previous batch of episodes, but they decided to accomodate the viewers who were watching the series through CN by airing the remaining episodes during the early morning hour.

That just really goes to show you how inane the american viewing audience is. DBZ ratings--through the roof; Yu Yu Hakusho--poor enough to nearly cancel its run. *Shakes head in dissapointment.*

IIRC, either myself or someone else posted an alert of this schedule change on this very board.

EDIT: Yep, I did a search and found out that Crinos was the one who posted the heads up. The last post in the thread was 10/22/2005

Man I had no idea it was back on. CN does some of the the dumbest things I could ever think of in their scheduling. I am glad I rented the rest of the series through Netflix or I would have been really pissed about missing it because of a stupid timeslot. I can't belive it got worse ratings than some of the truly horrible junk they put on Adult Swim.

I don't see why the hell they don't put it back on Adult Swim. I thought it was getting good ratings before, but they took off since Inuyasha, Bebop, and Witchhunter Robin were getting better ratings (but that was two YEARS ago, dammit! ). And the fans are smart enough to tell just how much was omitted when they put it on CN('cause, y'know, they watched the uncut version on ADULT SWIM.) They must really take us for idiots.

My VCR crapped out and I missed the final episode. Since I can’t see CN re-airing it when they can’t even be bothered to put the show on at a watchable time, I’d really like to know what happened to everyone. What happens to everyone? Who’s running Spiritworld? Has the second Demonworld tournament happened yet (I hear a lot of time passed between this episode and the end of the first tournament in the previous episode) and if so who won? Could I please have some major spoilers? Detail is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Lets see:

*Its years later, and Yusuke hasn't returned quite yet; Keiko and Kuwabara are a little older (and taller; Keiko became a babe) and in high school. Kurama basically fills Kuwabara in on everything that happened in the Makai Tournament.

*Kurama explains to Kuwabara that the barrier between human and Youkai worlds was brought down since Enki's rule made it illegal for Youkai to fool around in human world.

*Recently, some humans have stumbled into the Youkai world. Enki ordered a patrol unit be formed out of several of the losers of the Makai Tournament, and their job is to round up these humans, protect them, erase their memories of stumbling in the Youkai realm, and return them to human world unharmed. Hiei is one of the members of this patrol squad. He remains in Youkai World most of the time and lives with Mukuro.

*A member of Hiei's squad reveals that Mukuro's power is tied to her emotional state; she's strongest when in rage and anger. Since she met Hiei, she has become calm; because of this, Mukuro was apparently at only half power during the Makai Tournament.

*Kuwabara, Keiko, Kurama, and Kuwabara's sister go to visit Genkai, where they also meet up with Yukina and Botan. Genkai tells them that when she dies the group will inherit her land, which includes the temple, the forest, and the moutains around it. Because it is unpopulated it will be a good place for Youkai and humans to interact; she says that even though the barrier is dropped it will take time for humans and Youkai to get along, so her land will be a good place to try and start a good relationship with them.

*Kuwabara's group goes to the beach; Keiko yells towards the sunset, as if trying to shout at Yusuke, that she's tired of waiting for him. A voice calls out from the side "I don't want you to wait either." Yusuke makes his entrance. Keiko runs over and jumps into his arms, they fall down together, she kisses him, and a big wave washes over both of them. Yusuke smiles and begins to splash-fight with her in the ocean. Yusuke gets the others involved in the water fight too. While they are all frolicking we see spirit world running as usual, with Koenma stamping papers; it ends with the whole crew looking at the sunset.

I've heard that the Manga goes into more detail here: revealing that Koenma's father set up the Sensui incident by subtly allowing Sensui to take the Chapter Black Video, and that he was counting on things to work out more or less the way they did; Koenma found out about this and removes his father from the throne and assumes control of spirit world. I can't confirm that last bit, I've merely heard that happens in the manga.

I think I can answer your questions.

Final episode Spoilers ahead:

A couple of months have passed after the demon world tournament ended. (It was reveled at the end of the previous episode that the entire series up to this point was being told from Yusuke rembering his life.)

Kuwabara meets Kurama at the train station. As they wait on their train, Kurama tells Kuwabara about what happened at the demon tournament. They eventualy end up at a cafe and meet up with Shizuru and Keiko. During this Kurama tells Kuwabara that spirit world has removed the barrier around demon world. The four of them take a train to Genkai's.

Once there they meet Yukina, who takes them to Genkai. After they meet her, Botan and Koenma also arive. Genkai tells them that she wants her temple and land to be made into a haven for demons that want to live in the human world. After this Kuwabara, Kurama, Shizuru, Keiko, Yukina and Botan deside to go to the Beach.

Wile this is all going on Hiei is in demon world with Mukuro and others that lost during the tournament. Patroling the border of demon world, returning any human that wonders their way there without harm.

At the beach, Keiko screams at the sea, "I'm tired of waiting for you Yusuke!" Suddenly Yusuke shows up. He tells her that he dosnt wat her to wait either.
She is suprised by his sudden appearence, but tackles him on the sand. She kisses him. Eventualy they all reunite and end up in a big water fight between all of them. During the credits they all watch the sunset. And it ends with the message: Forever Fornever.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: takes me too long to type.

Um...ow(holy delayed reaction, Batman! :p ) and the 'net can NEVER have enough yaoi fans, dammit! ;) I taped one of the episodes and was really pissed off when (MILD SPOILER) Kurama decided not to transform into that dreamy wolf form anymore! *weeps* What a load of BS--like he couldn't love his mom and transform into his hot form every now and again( I "accidentally" taped over that episode). Did anything similar to this happen in the manga?
