i remember seeing Red X in the teen titans as one of Robin's alter ego/villian and was wondering was he acctually a part of the DC universe, or did they just use him in Teen Titans....

Not in the DCU at all. He's completely the Teen Titan's universe creation.

Meh, any character could have been developed really well. Besides, the whole "hero who pretends to be a villian but kinda becomes one such that he's not sure if he's pretending or not" is old hat in the comic world. I'm pretty sure the New Teen Titans did it a couple of times (plus that whole Terra thing, which was much freakier in the comic than in the cartoon).

Well in the comics she swore, and she smoked..........., oh and there was that whole "underage girl sleeping with a middle aged man" thing. So I would say you're pretty much right on that one.

Red X kind of reminds me of the present Jason Todd/Red Hood character. X has a better costume though.

I think, also, the comic had a lot more time to endear fans to Terra before she did that whole evil thing. Plus many Teen Titans fans might have looked her up on a web site and had the big reveal of her evilness spoiled. :)
