Looks like trading car art to me. Probably from some trading card set or another that came out circa 1994-96 (as that approximates the style of artwork Mike was using at the time).

Anyone else have more knowledge regarding some of the more obscure Hellboy art appearances?

Nice scans. I went scan-happy with my Art of Hellboy book one night, kept on my hard drive for no reason except because I got a new scanner and had to scan something ;)
