Our fair Cap'n posts the non-Superman and Batman ones about every Sunday on the sticky section but if he doesn't, I can't argue with you... :D

Yeah, I saw that after I did this one. But I post the Marvel ones anyway, so I figured I'd drop these while I was at it. I don't want to step on any toes though. :)

A bit of a relief this week after last week's huge shipment. From the above, I'll only be getting GLC and WW. Add to that Adv. of Superman, Batman, Catwoman & Robin from DC; Daredevil & New Avengers from Marvel; Witchblade from Top Cow; and Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Uncle Scrooge & Walt Disney's Comics from Gemstone. So I'm still looking at a big week. :)

Whoo-hoo! Gail Simone's arc on JLA Classified is finally starting! I've been waiting for this story since it was originally announced to be in the main JLA book (during the rotating creative team era). It should have great writing and awesome art from José Luis García-López (Gail has mentioned that it's so good that many other writers wanted to steal him away).

Green Lantern Corp #4
JLA Classified #16
Plastic Man #20 (I'm sad that this is ending)

:)

Can't say I'm sorry to see Plastic Man go; It couldn't hold a candle to Cole's original Golden Age stories, and it just wasn't very funny. I brought issue #1 and it was so lame that I threw it out the window of my apartment! Needless to say, it didn't bounce. :p

Beast has posted this week's Marvel titles on the Marvel forum and, I believe, intends to do so in the future. I have asked him not to post the DC titles here in the future because it's repetitious, given my own weekly thread.

One of the problems with the first few issues is that Plastic Man was originally supposed to be an Original Graphic Novel. But DC decided to turn it into an ongoing series and split the OGN into the first six issues. If it would've been an ongoing in the first place, Kyle would've designed the first issue better and probably stuck more jokes in it.

The series really took off with #8 which was the first part of the two-part story where Plas had to go back in time and kill Abraham Lincoln to save the universe. It was absolutely hilarious! Probably the funniest comic ever from DC or Marvel. So, if you're looking for a funny comic, at least try issues #8-9.
