Is Wolverine jealous? **maybe Spoilers **

I just saw the preview art for Astonishing X-Men and though I know that nothing is in stone yet, but Wolverine is kissing Emma. :eek:

Now is it just me, but if this is the case, is Wolverine just jealous of Cyclops. First Jean and now Emma. They are not even close to the same type of woman, so maybe Logan doesn't really love Jean and just wants to stick it to Cyke.

I was wondering what your thoughts on this are. :)

It's a cover. I don't give it a whole lot of thought, given how relevent the covers are to the actual story half the time. Maybe she's psycho and making him kiss her, who knows. :)

Personally I think its the nuts Emma Frost trying to turn the X-Men against each other leaving them open for attack from the "new" Hellfire Club.

Cyclops will think Wolverine is doing it to po him and Wolverine... well he wouldn't say no to a fight with Scott even if it was a misunderstanding.

I was thinking that could be the case too. But if that is I don't have faith in Whedon new arc at all.

as we have found out in the past, some covers dont necessarily happen in the book. It could be Emma making him do it like she made Beast and Wolverine stop fighting issues back of Astonishing. She could do it to pit Cyclops and Wolverine against each other.

Nah I don't think Wolverine cares for Emma like that. The closest I remember seeing them together was in Murder at the Mansion when they had a heart to heart before she was shot to a million pieces. Most likely just a shock image, if not I'll be interested in seeing how it's story related.

I agree. Ever since Cyclops has been with Emma, he hasn't made a decision for himself. She has been psionically manipulating him, moving herself up the X-Men's ranks, to leave them open to attack.

Now thats a plotline that would make sense in the whole Scott / Jean / Emma triangle: Emma is psychically controlling Scott. Because it makes zero sense that Scott would go to Emma of his own free will given how many times Emma tried to kill him and his friends, given that Emma helped Mastermind make a version of Jean go insane and turn into Dark Phoenix, and all the rest of the bad stuff Emma has done.

Based on what Whedon said today about showing how to pick apart the team I think that Cassandra Nova is contoling him to put him and Cyke at odds and then take the others apart before attacking.
