Any thread that has gone beyond 5 pages; I really have lost track of this sort of thing, although I had been concerned about it for a while.

the thread I posted about how much I hated posting threads that didn't get responses.
It started slow - almost like an ironic commentary on itself - and then got huge, people started referring to it as "Bob, the thread that won't die", and there were fears it would become sentinet.
Before that happened Tom closed it down and told us all to go to Rita's.

I started a thread encouraging gang warfare on the X-Boards. It ran about 27 pages, I think.

Begging for career advice usually works. (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=81051)
A lot of the Avatar Contest threads I started are pretty long, but they don't really count. They've got a life of their own.

I'm pretty sure my most successful thread(s) occured befor the purge, so no evidence of them currently exists.
Post purge my most successful threads have been the Official Carnival Season 2 thread (*sniff* You left us too soon . . .) and the utterly idiotic Is Roger Ebert a Racist thread, which got locked (my first thread to achieve such a dubious distinction) and which I'm frankly embarrassed by.

It was this thread (highest post count and best debate):
Alan Moore or Dave Sim? (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=98970)
I haven't posted more than 5 or 6 threads since I registered on the new CBR forums.

It was a thread that I did in April and it died out in May or June. Well you revived it and as ya see my siganture it took on a life of its own thru December and Jan. What irks me is my thread was retconned from existance and my credit was gone.
It by the end had grew into 3 to 4 different topics and everyone on CBR posted on it. It saddens me because that thread was my most successful thread and it was taken away...damn it.

most posts - avengers villain survivor. not really my thread though, as all i did was steal a popular idea.
all my quality threads usually get no replies. they tend to be too conceptual in nature.

On my most sucessful thread. I had many good thread I have a total of 5 that have gone over the hundred post mark. Two were political in nature(Best Republican President, and Who do you want on the Democratic Ticket in 2008) So quality is subject on those. The only other community one is 'Give your Cbr friends superpowers". Which was pretty much a game thread.
The non community ones are 'The What If thread" which isn't solely mine. Due to it getting merged with another thread.(actully I'm not sure what happen I just notice the other day the Thread title changed. So I am guessing) Then I had the Marvel Female Icon thread. That one is my favorite of my sucessful threads.

Whoever started the definition of cool thread on the x-board started one hell of a thread.
Why they did it is another question enitrely.
(and why Cronin let it keep going is beyond me - as if we were ever going to stop that arguement!)

I haven't started many threads (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/search.php?searchid=1207189) (boo hoo), but my most succesful post purge thread seems to be about England winning the Ashes, then it was my new job thread.
I remember my really popular thread from the pre pre pre purge - How Gay are You - but I was never ever able to find that thread again - as all the words in the title have less than four letters!

Cool.
I also kinda have credit for the Regarding Bannings thread. It all started out by me asking what you had to do to get banned, and just took off from there. I don't really take credit for that though.
The All Purpose Wrasslin' Thread, that I do stay involved with, has 233 pages, 3,494 posts and 32,405 views, so far.
It was definitely my: Tell Us About Yourself(20 Questions) (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=42266&page=1&pp=15) 294 replies, 4432 views, 20 pages and still going. Anyone that hasn't posted on it, I encourage you to so that we can all know more about you.

Any thread where gun controll is brought up. Not because I'm good at debating (because that is clearly NOT the case), but because the anti-gun arguments are illogical, ill-advised and often based on fear.
Just like arguments against gay marriage! :)
Basically I win by default.

Don't look at me comrade, I wasn't here for that.

Talk the story Unca Howya!Three wars back we called Sauerkraut "liberty cabbage" and we called liberty cabbage "super slaw" and back then a suitcase was known as a "Swedish lunch box." Of course, nobody knew that but me. Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling...

Hmmm....
I've been more successful at starting 'games' than actual discussion threads.
Guess the Classic Cover (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=63496) is in its 3rd incarnation, and by my count we are approaching our 900th cover.
Technically, I started the What Classic Comic Have You Read Lately? (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=5304), but it really has a life of its own and I am a mere participant.
I've had more than my fair share of duds - especially on the Community Board. I remember starting a thread for people to describe their Dream Vacation and it got zero replies. I guess everybody is happy sitting in from of their monitor all day.

One of my first posts was on the Avengers board, asking whatever happened to Black Knight. BK's biggest fan responded to tell me, then a few people said 'BK sux', then the fan said 'nuh-uh', and some more people also said 'nuh-uh', and then those other people said 'yeah-huh', and this went on for like 6 pages.
