Dude, I liked Resident Evil: Apocalypse just because it's about the only zombie movie that shows what would happen in a city if a zombie outbreak occurred. And it's exactly what I had expected: Police forces having their hands full, general chaos in the streets, total breakdown of order, school of children turning into zombies, etc. It did a good job depicting a zombie outbreak in a city.

The original version of Dawn of the Dead also had some early scenes of urban zombie upheaval, while Shaun of the Dead approached the same topic from more of a suburban angle. Even though I really enjoyed Resident Evil, I have to admit that I dozed off during the sequel. There were too many characters with too little development, and I didn't care about any of them. I hope the third movie gets back to a focus on the Umbrella Corporation and its subterranean complex.

It does.
She was the best thing about Apocalypse.
Shellhead:
Jill was the most, and liked the black guy (Jill's partner) & the reporter.
Alice seemed to be to much of a plot device unlike in the first movie.
The comedian should have died. He was *annoying*.

Yeah, they showed hints and some upheaval. The original Dawn of the Dead showed the Army and Rednecks dealing with the rural areas. Shaun of the Dead showed the, as you put it, the suburban areas, but which one of them actually showed scenes where police barricades are overran, traffic backed up the wazoo, and rescue beacons being compromised? I enjoyed the urban depiction of the living dead.

Thats your opinion, I think it's second only to Tomb Raider. I love this film, both of them. The first one was abuild up. Like a wtf, who is this where is it going. It had nothing to do with the game concept. Which was great, then the second one added some elements I have yet seen. Alice becoming a super being, and then the characters from the game. It was good, and the action was awesome.
I have seen worse video game adaptations, like mario brothers......

whats the point of having a film based on a game when it has almost nothing to do with the original concept other than it has zombies.
the rock music ruins any atmosphere the film had and there was no threat at anytime because the main character was given stupid martial arts moves, and the characters are cliche'd and generic, paul anderson needs to retire.
just my opinion though.

I've heard Wesker *should* be in Afterlife. But who knows if it'll happen or not.
Things change rapidly, even while filming.
