OT: Seeking HORROR formula

If anyone knows of some good books or websites that discuss "What is Horror" and what elements make a good Horror - post 'em!

I'm writing a paper for games that revolve around Horror, Terror, and Fear. So, any goodies you might know of can be added into my big cauldron of spook!
