Okay guys and gals.

Ive been arguing and arguing with my boyfriend over this night and day.

I made a comment about them adding Harley Quinn in the new batman film only because she is a female who has not been done, now I know she isnt an old villian and she only started to apper somewhere around 93/94 BUT she is my all time FAV female character, not only to mention did I use to act and try to be like her many of years ago when i was just a kiddo my self.

I say that Christina Ricci would do AWESOME as her.
My boyfriend on the other hand says Brittney Murphy. I say NO WAY on BRITT, but he says she would.

I also think that a younger version of Lisa Kudro would have been great too, only cuz of her Kookie personallity.

Hmmm...Murphy has the better look, and would probably do it, but can't act a lick.

Ricci's got more acting chops, but her look doesn't really work for Harley all that well, IMHO, plus this indy queen would probably rather die than be in a Bat movie.

I agree with Paradox about Murphy having the look. Heck, she might even have the voice for it. I could see her sounding similar to BTAS Harley Quinn. Yes, her acting skills are suspect, but she played a decent wacko in "Don't Say a Word". Kudrow and Madonna are FAR worse.

I think Rachel Mcadams would be perfect for the role. She is also a very good actress aswell. Mean Girls, The Notebook, Redeye, all different roles, and she seems to dissapear into the characters. She also has a big smile.

Ugly might be harsh, but extremely average would be a reasonable assessment. I would rate her a "6" at best from that picture. The long bangs appear to be disguising an odd proportion to her face, while the tilt of her head is to make it harder to notice that one of her eyes is much lower than the other, like Shannon Doherty. The dark bags under her eyes aren't helping, and that odd smile makes her chin look larger.

Her hair is odd in those, but she was positively radiant in Wedding Crashers.

That said, not as Harley. I don't buy her as a shrink gone all wacky. Murphy still seems a superior choice.

Ooo, hey, mind if I go outside the box for a second? All right, for the character, you need a hot woman, early to mid 30s (she was a top shrink after all, and while I realize they had Cruise's sperm receptacle as an ADA, no one bought it) who can pull off the highly athletic gymanstics stuff Harley can do. And truth is, top level acting isn't really necessary for this role.

OK, she might never have been marquis, but what about Amy Jo Johnson? About the right age, she can do the ninja stuff, decent actress...

It's going to be hard, but for sure dissapointing who ever they pick just as whom ever plays the Joker will be heartbreaking to alot of fans.

I am a huge Faruiza Balk fan, like If i ever turned gey, she would be my kind of girl, I feel in love with her in "The Craft" and "Waterboy" but I dont think she would be a good Harley Love Blak to death, but she wouldnt suit the character.

Ivy deserves a redo SO BAD it isn't even funny. She's a character with SO MUCH potential, and is spat on by writers over and over again. I'd kill for a great Ivy in the vien of Bruce Timm's or Greg Rucka's...in fact I'd take her over Harley and day.

But as for Harley, Mcadams seems like a decent choice. Her smile is HUGE...although I agree she isn't that hot. And whoever said it's too bad Sorkin isn't younger is dead on.

She may look young but she's 25. :eek:

She has the acting chops but her appearance works again her for Harley. Harley should look in her early 30's (since she is a former psychiatrist), and Bell still looks like she's in her mid to late teens.
