I feel like a hypocrite because I hate awards shows, but man, I'm glad Steve Carell won.

Good to see Walk the Line win some awards. Plus watching Steve Carrell win is always nice. :)

Disappointed that neither Kyra Sedgwick nor Glenn Close won.

Geena Davis was good, but not THAT good.

I'm just happy Mary-Louise Parker beat essentially the entire cast of Desperate Housewives. I honestly don't the hype of this show, and I refuse to believe all four of 'em were deserving of nominations.

I had no idea Scarlett Johannsen was so loaded up front.

Suprises? No major ones.

How did Rome got nominated for Best Television Series - Drama? Not everything HBO is automatically good. This show wasn’t close.

Didn’t know Steve Carrell was married to Nancy Walls. She was one of the least funny people to ever appear on Saturday Night Live or The Daily Show. Or: Not everybody from Second City is automatically good.

Comment: Oscar is going to have it tough when Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman fall in the same category.

Hooray for Hugh Laurie!! Glad to see he's getting to do dramatic work like he wanted. Such a comedic talent. Now we see he's got the dramatic chops too. And his American accent is pretty darn convincing.

I agree. I love this woman. And I think her winning this helped Mary Louise Parker win the television actress award but that just may be my bias.

I'm sure I'm alone, but while I love Steve Carrell, I think of the nominees Zach Braff has put forth the best work.

Well, I only saw Syriana and The Constant Gardener, so I guess that it is nice. I haven't seen ANY of the tv shows or mini's, so I guess that the right people got rewarded.

Hadn't paid any attention to the Globes nominations previously. Can't believe that Arrested Development wasn't even nominated for anything.

Yeah. That’s what I get for only listening to the tv while on line. I had the awards on and PTI is the first time I noticed Drew’s, uh . . . status.

Lost is a good show no doubt. I enjoy it.

But I think it's not even the best show on it's own network.

I'd prefer that honor go to Grey's Anatomy.

Or even Boston Legal.

I know I get more enjoyment out of both of those shows than Lost.

Just my opinion.

House not even getting onto the list of best drama shows is a travasty and no one can tell me that those 4 woman on desperate housewives are the best after the winner. The fix was in people.

Davideaux does a double-take:

I had no idea Scarlett Johannsen was so loaded up front.

So, you apparantly never saw this dress from a couple of years ago. :D
