Let's face it, a legion of fans don't like the idea of Luke Cage as an Avenger. I personally want to see Iron Fist again. Does anybody else want to see heroes for hire again?

Hell, I'm relatively new to comics and I want to see him back as a Hero for Hire. Mere glimpses of him and Iron Fist in the pages of DD weren't enough. There's a lot of history there that's being left untouched.

For more of Luke Cage and Iron Fist together, see CABLE/DEADPOOL #21. Danny's friendship with Luke was also explored a bit more in THE PULSE #9, where we got to see a bit of how Danny feels about Luke's new girlfriend. We also saw them together briefly in the MARVEL HOLIDAY SPECIAL 2005, and I expect Iron Fist will be guest starring in the upcoming NEW AVENGERS ANNUAL.

I loved the Ostrander Heroes for Hire series and I'm all for a new one.

i don't mind seeing cage in the new avengers, but i do mind iron fist being left out. did cage even ask the rest of the team if iron fist could join? not saying iron fist HAS to be on the team, it's just weird seeing the two apart.

THEREFORE, yes i would pay for a new heroes for hire book. cage and iron fist make a great duo, and i think a new book would do very well with a solid creative team.

A well-written Power Man/Heroes for Hire comic would be great fun. Of course by well-written I mean not written by the Black Panther hack... this is just the kind of title I'm sure he believes only he has the ability to write correctly... Luke as written by Bendis as in Daredevil) would kick butt. The time is right for Marvel to bring this back as it does not requier another retcon just a good storyline...

Hudlin did write a nifty Luke Cage/Iron Fist joke in BP #11, though... :D

While I loved the old stuff... it's just that... old... and a return to it would just be pandering to the fans.

Marvel needs to let their characters grow and move on... and Luke has with the Avengers and Jessica Jones and now he's a dad and so on.

The comic world needs NEW ideas... not rehashes of old titles.

Marvel took old characters like Cloak and Dagger and put them with Runaways with great results. I'm not saying don't team them up or anything... but move on. I think it's vitally important for the comics world.

You want to read Heroes For Hire, there's a fairly decent substitute in Daughters of the Dragon. 70s blaxploitation style badass, partnered with an adept in the martial arts? Could be either one. Even better Gray and Palmiotti turned it into Loser Supervillain Hullabullo. Serious, they brought back Sleepwalker villains.
