The trade is due out in April. I noticed that there's actually an ad for the Samurai in the back of the second Conan TPB, though it doesn't show the final cover. We've done a new cover for the collection, something a little more "design-oriented."

I'll see if I can post it...

The trade in April, sweet... Then I will have the reference material that I will need for a project I'm going to do :)

Hmm ... I like the sound of that, Karlton. If you need reference material, don't hesitate to ask.

I've just checked out Dark Horse solicitations for April at HeroRealm and the samurai trade isn't listed there.

The book was actually solicited to be out in February, but we couldn't make that date due to the lateness of #5. As far as I know, April is still the target. The book is being printed right now in China.

Thanks for the info Ron. :)

For a moment there I almost freaked out.

The French version is actually a hardcover, and a gorgeous one at that. Great job of reproduction and design by Delcourt. There's an extensive sketchbook section of Luke's work, substantially different than the sketchbook section that will appear in the American version.

Why is the French version out next week and the American version is out in April?

A hardcover to boot, did Sigil and The Path get reproduced as hardcovers in Europe? I live in the middle of nowhere Oregon. The nearest comic shop is 90 miles away so I have to get me fix in trades.

The Path and Ruse were produced as landscape format hardcovers by Semic in France. Gorgeous books. They can be ordered from Amazon's French portal.

The French Samurai hardcover was printed only as a collection -- no individual issues, as in the U.S., so as soon as the fifth issue was complete, they went to press. In the U.S., there's always a bit of a window between the final issue and the collection ... not to mention the TPB being printed in China and shipped over via boat.
