Massive stock fraud on the part of one of the corporate officers, Peter Paul.

If you say Stan Lee three times in front of a mirror at midnight he'll appear.

Kurt Busiek is like that on these boards; if you ever want to get his take on something, you can say "Kurt Busiek" enough times in a thread, and he will appear. This occasionally also works with Brubaker and Tieri :) .

Guys . . .
Kurt Busiek is not our monkey. He shows up when he's mentioned because he searches on his name and is a good sport about answering our questions.
Move on.

It's true; Kurt Busiek is not our monkey, and we should leave him alone. He needs time to work on the next Arrowsmith series, that he has promised us.
Speaking of Arrowsmith...Mr. Busiek, if you do pop in here...what is the low down on the next series? Is it still in the pipeline? Is the script done? Is Carlos on board? Please say yes to all of the above.

What does KURT BUSIEK write? Stan Lee is a pretty good creator but he bankrupted marvel and now I hear about this stock fraud thing. I'm betting he is the first to admit that he is not a business man. I do thank the gods for him though. Like the late great hunter s thompson (i wonder if that saying the name three times thing will work on him?) Stan Lee has shaped young minds for several generations.

It's awaiting a time Carlos is available.
As such, I'm still researching it, albeit slowly.

Fan-freakin`-fabulous. I'm glad that the project is still upcoming, even if it is going to take some more time. Don't rush your research; this is part of why Arrowsmith rocks so much, but hopefully Carlos becomes available soon. I was afraid that it had become one of those dropped WS upcoming series. Thanks for taking the time to assuage my fears, Mr. Busiek.
Rutsah...
What does KB write? A wonderful Wildstorm Mini called Arrowsmith, as mentioned above. A nice, long Avengers run that resurrected the franchise after "Heroes Reborn." Also, he is the creator and sole writer of a little genre reaffirming series called "Astro City." Mr. Busiek, of course, has written a ton of other things as well, but these are some of my favorites. If you haven't checked out Astro City and Arrowsmith, then you must...IMHO.

Now I'm almost dissapointed. Kurt should have stayed out of the thread, just on principle.

It's really simple: If people just spout my name for the fun of it, I'm not gonna respond.
If they ask a question or make a post that I actually want to respond to, I'm there.
That's my principle. I am mighty. Cower before me, insignificant gn--
Uh, what?

You can take the writer off Conan, but you can't take the Conan out of the writer...

In any case, as you've heard before, we all really appreciate you keeping us up to date. Thanks to writers like you, Brubaker, Slott, and Tieri, we fans can feel more connected to our favorite writers and books than ever before. And I am anxiously awaiting the next Arrowsmith. Now, get back to work; comic books do not write themselves. :)
