Hi,
I am interested or atleast curious about this title, is it in continuity? How is the book compared to the regular FF book? Which is better?
If anyone can let me know what they think I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
Yes it is in continuity at least it seems that way. The current arc mentioned Wanda going crazy. I think it is a lot better than JMS's FF and does not get enough credit.

I agree. Although the Impossible Man issues were kind of clunky, the stories have been far and away better than JMS. Especially the characterization.

I dropped the book, months ago, and haven't missed it. The regular FF title does me just fine.

I enjoy it more than the regular FF title. The writer does a really nice job with the characters, and is good at writing shorter arcs. I think the book would be getting more attention with a more high profile artist though.

it's the only fantastic four book i've ever read/collected monthly, and i'm enjoying it.

I've checked out every FF book Marvel is currently putting out, and personally, Millar & Land's Ultimate Fantastic Four is the best of the bunch.

it's my favorite ff book out right now. and maybe a top 5 book marvel puts out right now. stay away from ultimate ff though, it's one of the worst books out.

This is true. Millar is the master of action driven high octane stories.

While Millar and the Ultimate book are good for fantastic newbies... Knights 4 is much closer to the in continuity "older than 18 year old" fantis-team... its too bad niether book can really be said to be "fun". At least Knights 4 acknowledges conunituity that preceded the Heroes reborn stuff garbage (believe it!). I may be the only one but only JMS run has tempted be to drop the book from my pull list...

I tried a few issues of the JMS run, and they are boring with a capital B.

Oh give me a break. It's Mark Millar!
And Greg Land's artwork blows just about everyone else in Marvel away.

I've not followed much of his work (other than the Dr. Strange reboot) but JMS seems pretty good with set up and unable to deliver the goods. The first issue of his run sets up some inetersting ideas then he throws it away in order to get "deep"on us... yawn!

Agreed. Ultimate FF is the shizzle (man that looks silly in print).
Hey - what issue is MK 4 on? Maybe I'll pick up some trades and jump into it, too.

JMS is doing a great job on Supreme Power, but his Amazing Spider-Man and FF stuff is boring.

the same mark millar who in the past 2 years wrote...
a crappy run of marvel knights spider-man?
wolverine, one of the most boring comics i've read recently?
and the terrible, terrible wanted?
and greg land is one of the worst artists out. his stuff is way too stiff and photoshopped looking.

Haven't read the latter two but his run on MKSM is in my opinion, the only thing Spider-Man related worth reading in ages.

One of the worst artists out? Oh come on. There are so many artists working for Marvel that are greatly inferior to him. I suppose it's all in the eye of the beholder but his pages are beautiful.
EDIT: I did some checking on Wanted, and every review I've seen has all given it positive scores.

what artists are inferior to land at marvel? or anywhere else for that matter? his stuff is just so flat, boring and lifeless.

I think that's your best bet. Give'em a spin, and pick whichever suits you the best. And whether it's MK4, FF or UFF, hope you enjoy one (or all)! :)

I think you'll enjoy it. I had my reservations when it started, especially the whole "The FF lose all their money and have to get jobs" storyline, but they've really won me over and I'm enjoying every issue.
Too bad the same can't be said for the JMS book. :(
