AP says Roy Blunt and John Boehner are battling it out to take DeLay's spot. Just wondering if anyone had any feelings toward either one of them. Because I don't. Anyone from Missouri or Ohio? Or just have more of a clue than I do?

I'm pulling for Roy Blunt because he has a name that would be funny to hear on TV. " Blunt to block , Bill ? " " Blunt passes to another...."

I'd cerianly have the bipartisan "Run Jade, run!" bumper sticker on my car.

Somehow I always associated Jade with the Green Party.
(On topic: I am ashamed to admit that I don't know enough about either Blunt or Boehner to comment intelligently. But no doubt we'll learn more about them soon!)

Or one of them, anyway!

Boehner is a bad choice. Too close to Abrimoff to make him look squeeky. Blunt might be the fallback, but his relations with the 'Coalition really hampers him.
There are too many people in congress, i don't even know all my state's reps.
They should pick someone who hasn't been mixed up in a scandal and someone who wants to reform the republican party.
Then they can split, and we can see a fight.

And 'Boehner' isn't a sufficiently funny name?

Is it really pronounced the way you're implying its pronounced?

Doggone it. Apparently it's pronounced "BAY-ner." I never would've guessed that would be the way to say it.

Screw him, then. We need someone who provides easier pot shots.
