I have a pretty mean sense of humor, but this just reinforces my unwillingness to spend serious money on eBay. I'm willing to pay more just to buy from an actual retailer, and not have to worry about this kind of fraud. If each of those 641 comments represents somebody who was ripped off for at least $200, this guy walked off with $125,000. If eBay played more of a role in each transaction, I would consider their reputation relevant, but right now, I just think it's a risky way to buy things.

Actually, the worst thing is that the majority of his comments (about 300-400) were positive. He probably figured that if he legit traded for a while, he could sucker a whole bunch of people later on. And he was right.

It almost looks like the account got hacked. He was there for more than a year, but nearly 100% of the negative feedback happened in the last 3 weeks.

Yeah, this reinforces my hatred and distrust of eBay.

I am one of those that only buys from sellers with 99% ratings and tons upon tons of positive reviews...and I'll only send payment through PayPal. This kind of thing shows that a few lovely people have figured out to exploit buyers like me.

I think I'll stick to going through middlemen like Amazon or buying it straight from the person (i.e. Craig's List).

You're probably right and I'm probably wrong. I always overcomplicate things. :o

I agreee completely. This sucks and is a prime example of why I do not use Ebay to buy anything.

There are other possibilites. Maybe this criminal bought the account from somebody else? Is that possible, or is each eBay account directly connected to a credit card or bank account these days?

I save hundreds of money buying stuff cheap on ebay! I use the savings to hire private investigators to track down the sellers and spy on them to see if the sellers are legitimate!

Whenever I see a thread title like this I know there's going to be some funny stuff inside.

I'm missing the humor. What's funny, here? Uh, yeah, some guy ripped a bunch of people off. Ha. Oh, please, my sides.

Am I missing something?

Bwahahahahhaa. Someone started a blog Spot. Ahahahahahahahahaha.

This is why you never spend more money on something off Ebay then you are willing to lose.

Plus I love the fact they are calling the police where he lives. What is that about? What can they really do?
