Dr. Who has a process called regeneration in which he gets a new body and face... generally seemingly at random... He get's thirteen of them.

I'm not so sure about that, I think it'stechnically possible, but unlikely that they'll cast a woman. (There were rumours of Dawn French, I think, at one time)
