I'm just having a quiet night for Hogmanay as I don't drink and my family live in weird and wonderful places and I can't drive yet (this is Scotland so there is no public transport tomorrow!) so I'll be at home with my parents.

I'll be watching the Hogmanay TV shows (like the funny football show, Only An Excuse? and maybe Chewin' The Fat too.)

Every year my parents say "New Year just isn't the same anymore!" and they've been saying the same thing for at least 20 years now.

Apparently my family used to love New Year and my Uncle John's house used to be the main hub for the family but he died 25 years ago and the family haven't really been together at Christmas or New Year since.

Scotland is World famous for our New Year parties but they've become less about music and cheer and more about violence and beer recently.

Edinburgh stills puts on the best New Year party in the World, with a massive fireworks display and 200,000 people in the streets but Edinburgh is 50 miles away from here and this little town (Erskine) has practically nothing happening.

A quiet celebration and only a couple of beers seeing how I'm working at 7 am.

I'll be at my future in-law's place, playing with my nephew.

Gettin' blitzed and, with any luck, laid.

If I have my way: absolutely nothing. I have work tomorrow.

We're just staying at my parent's house.
I think my brother and the ho might be staying until midnight too though.
We are having some great food at least. I had a fantastic crab cake from Bobby Chez and the other three had filet mignon. I also got a strawberry cake from Cold Stone. I'm not a big ice cream fan but this cake is out of this world.
And a real novelty is that we have a bottle of Dom Perignon 1998 that my husband received for Christmas. I hope I don't like it though because I doubt that we could afford to buy a bottle ourselves.;)

Work. Setting ad for a retail store,as the people who normally do it all decided in advance to take the time off for various reasons, and before it was realized they all did this,it was all approved. Leaving me to clean up after them.

Least i get paid double time and half PLUS graveyard shift pay for it,otherwise its just a pain in the ass.
